It's a rather rough rocket stove. The wife is yet to take a knife to the cake.
I made one of the same design but out of big plant pots. I altered it slightly by putting an identical turned over pot on as a lid and it works really well as a make shift Tandoor / Kamado Grill.

Got me googling this now guys.... And i'm desperate to play!
Funnily enough I kind of created an impromptu one by placing an inverted conical metal planter with the bottom rotted through into a fire bowl and fed fuel into the planter chimney from above. Vented from beneath it raged and burned extremely clean and exceptionally hot. I was burning garden waste and it generated so very little ash as to be barely believable...

Feed it with forced air induction from the bottom via some copper pipe and a hair dryer and it will go like a forge.
I dont have a laser thermometer, but I estimate mine to approach 1900-2000 C
Its pretty cool when it starts going like a jet engine.

Well.... It was a windy day and parts of the metal planter /funnel got near white hot.... You know when you get excited, twitchy and nervy that something is going way beyond what you planned! That was me.... It was brilliant!!!!

I did something very similar once, it made so much (awesome) noise next door we're leaning out of the upstairs windows "admiring" the column of fire about fifteen feet high. The contraption reduced a ton of garden detritus to very little ash.
