Things we make.
Evening guys, was sorting out my garage this morning when I came across a couple of nice bits of wood. And seems I haven't got a nice ashtray I decided I will have a go at making a fold up travel one. Here are the stages so far.
This is the wood after 6 coats of clear and a good buff
Next I added some feet that I found lying around.
Then sketched and placed things how I wanted them to go, leaving a space at the top left for a good cutter when I get round to buying one.
Here's what it should look like from the inside and out when i have done the routing and sanding.
Simple but effective I think. Will make sure to keep you all updated tomorrow when the holes have been routed! [emoji2]

Top job PeeJay! Normally I would say the sight of that would make me hungry had I not been stuffing my face full of christmas left overs all morning! Love this time of year!

Nice one, I haven't made it for two years. I leave the fruit in for the whole year (except the bottle I drink at Christmas) just had no time this year. I love sloe gin soooooooo much! The stuff you can buy isn't the same, even the good stuff.
By the way do you do anything with the skies once you've filtered the gin? I've stoned them and dipped them in dark chocolate before and used them in a crab apple jelly as an extra flavour. They're too good to waste and last for ever even out of the spirit in a jar.
