Aw awesome man but choose a short one. Tried it in the bath a few weeks back at gf`s and it was great but the steam made it hard to keep last third alight
Sure anytime mate. Looking forward to seeing what you bring back from Dubai could maybe do some trades as should have Novembers order in as well by then.
Don`t think ive ever been to casc on my own to except to nip in for a takeaway and don't think I would. not that sort of place
Just undecided between MDF or Plywood for lining. Any shelving would be fixed to the main uprights. I'm thinking about those led flat ribbon lights around the edges too

Cheers Jim,
We haven't got the space for a garage, so I installed a 12x6 shed instead!
Coming along nicely, hopefully get it finished before the weather turns!

From a chippies point of view I'd go for ply or osb as your going to have to opt for a thicker board on the length as the centres look a bit big 18mm minimum should be fine you'll be able to get away with 10.5 on the width would still be worth nogging out to get a solid wall, lay board flat nog the overlap that way you'll use less boards than having to cut on centre of uprights
Nice job! I may have to go down this route if I loose the conservatory when baby arrives!
Just seeing this thread reminded me that I was going to post a few things up (not related to a herf shack). I make all sorts of things when I feel like it. I like making things that normally I could easily just buy but I prefer to have a crack at myself. It keeps me out of trouble and I find I get a bit more enjoyment out of whatever it is that I've produced.
I won't flood the thread with everything at once! I will put some different things up over the next few weeks.
First up I will start with a Bushcraft knife I made from scratch back in '07 from some old tool steel. Shaped and heat treated by my fair hands. Brass pins hand turned and the scales from an old mahogany bench top! I don't know if anyone else has been into anything bushcraft related but it does make for some nice relaxing cigar time! I've not done much recently but I'm sure I'll find some time for it soon!
