See I am too honest for that as my postman leaves everything on my door step (which is sheltered so will not get wet) including boxes worth several hundred quid and never for once did it cross my mind to try and pretend I never received it.

Well it had the desired effect as the coffee company bollock'd the courier firm (or at least they said they were going to...) I might have said to them that they had left the packages unsecured outside the house.
They don't anymore.

This. I suspect it just harms the coffee company (normally not multi-nationals). I would have taken a photo and called them instead.
