I actually considered making this exact thread a week or so ago, here are some pics of products I have used.

I'm not going to get the contemporary EDT's and Aftershaves out because I would be here all night.

Love it! I tend to buy lots of creams and gels and oils for shaving too.

The Brut is behind the Old Spice.... No Denim yet hough. It's going to have to wait because Pinaud Clubman is next followed by Aramis.

@PeeJay didn't you know that Old Spice is having somewhat of a renaissance? What next eh Brilliantine?

Did I spy some Taylor's of Old Bond Street? I am thinking the Sandalwood is the next purchase on my list.

You sure did, it's the sandalwood I have..... It's excellent, it's my going out/occasion shave. It give a pretty decadent lather!

Is there anything in the UK you can't get hold of? I could send you some stuff over if there is... I know that some guys I have spoke to in the US can't get the same Palmolive we get over here, they changed it in the US for a crappy product apparently.

I know you get some really good grooming stuff in the US that we don't have like Vitalis, Jeris and Tiger Hair Tonic. And you get some excellent vintage Gillette Razors for stupidly low prices.

Val I am still playing in the minor league with most of this. I have a tub of Prorasso red, some ARKO (love the picture of the 50's guy on the front...I think he is a cult leader), some razorock and a puck of some type of glycerin soap that some guy makes in Colorado. Until I got into this stuff I thought Palmolive only made dish soap. I use a #2 guard on the clippers so not much need for hair product. If you have any suggestions please let me know. The next purchase is between the Taylor's and Mitchell's Wool Fat. I am not sure of other products from the UK....I haven't done a lot of research. If there is anything you can't get in the UK consider this an open invitation. I can always throw it in a box and send it over.

I can't vouch for the Mitchell's but I hear some rave reviews and will be getting some myself at some point. Trumpers do some good stuff too as do Vulfix.

Thanks for the offer, I will most likely take you up on it.

I've wet shaved for years now, kinda drifted out of my experimenting phase as I've a set of products I like at the moment and, well, they last for aaaaages.

My main razor is an Edwin Jagger DE89, which I believe is a rebadge of one of the introductory Muhle razors. Excellent razor for the price. I started out with a Wilkinson Sword classic, an absolute gem for beginners, gentle and surprisingly good weight in it. I also have a three piece Gillette travel razor and an unbranded shavette. Parker is ok, nothing special but gets the job done nicely and comes with a lovely case. The shavette was a gift from my parents when they went to Turkey and I was a teenager, does the job and is fun for occasional use and shaping my side burns (which are pretty big these days). My grandfather left a pair of brand new cut throat razors to my brother and I but I've never felt I had to skill to use it. Plus its an heirloom and, well, its not for day to day use, ya know?

I have a nice medium sized Edwin Jagger badger brush which is my day to day and a little Omega badger travel brush for trips away. I started with a boar brush which was great but fell apart, as did the cheap but brilliant boar I picked up from anIndian super market. Honestly I like boar better but I'm really happy with my badgers. I also have a Wilkinson synthetic which really isn't bad for the price. I have a 50p synthetic I picked up just to see how bad it is and, well, you can use it if you really want to try but yeah, 50p.

Soaps I've tried quite few but settled onto Taylors of Old Bond Street Sandalwood as my day to day with Palm Olive Shavestick in my travel kit. Aftershaves are either TOBS Sandalwood or D. R. Harris Sandalwood at the moment. Keep Nivea Sensitive Aftershave Balm for when I get razor burn. Have some Boots Bay Rum which is a steal and quite pleasant that I keep at my parents just in case. Honestly, I'm ready to try something else but this all just lasts so long.

Oh yes, and its an alum block rubbed over the face after every shave as well.

Blades wise, I'm a Feathers man. Still working through a 100 piece set of Derby single edged I bought for my shavette before I did my homework. (Israeli) Personnas are also pretty decent and are available for peanuts as supermarket rebrands.

Sorry this is a massive post, bit of a passion as I've tough black facial hair that grows ridiculously fast. If anyone is thinking about trying it out I could recommend a few excellent products for ?10-15 that will set you up but not break the bank. Or if anyone wants to know about my home and away shave sets more than happy to spell it out a bit more clearly.

Edit: Just actually looked at my stuff and had a couple of the brands wrong. Oops.

Just started to use an old Tamahagane straight I had as a young adult..my wrinkled old face has gone so baggy with weight loss it's the only way to get a decent shave...bit of a bastard 'til I got back in practice, more blood than water in the sink...
