I will check that out later, Deano.

It would be great to be be Prince involuntarily up there, but it's more Diana Krall.
Used to be Joni Mitchell channelled through Tom Waites in the past.
I must be on the mend.

Great stuff, 'To the Max' Bryan. I tried to listen to it yesterday, but for some reason it wouldn't load. Just had success. Rolling along nicely there

Reminds me a little of something jazzy/blues like John Martyn's (The Easy Blues) Jelly Roll Blues.

Almost my best JM track, saw him play this at Ronnie Scotts in Birmingham and he serously wrung the kneck of his guitar, real attack which he lost in later life, a great night.

Never got the second half though!

Most of the time is spent tinkling on the piano, or trying to work out how to use software. I'm more someone who plays that someone who tries to work out programs, to be honest, but I was recording something on the day our dog became ill. My son was trying out some things on Nuendo and we chucked a very imperfect take into the machine. We like to arse around like this, and usually warm up with some blues before writing a quick concerto.

I can hear a thousand imperfections in this. Especially my organ/piano C chords and G chords which clash more than once. I'd edit those away if it was worth it.

When you hear the vocalist, you'll know the track is beyond redemption. Beyond critique. Beyond reproach.

          So.

Because my dog was called Max, this is dedicated to him from Olly and me.

          Aye thang yew.

          12 BAR TO THE MAX

(And I'd like to say that sometimes I do try to do stuff seriously. Amen).

Yeh big man, I loved this, a blues to cheer you up, now that is a novelty.

Your closing remarks (can I get an amen brothers and sisters) reminded me that to cheer ourselves up the lady wife and I like nothing more than to retire to the conjugal container with a large bad hand - (Donner & chilli sauce)

            Great stuff, Deano.

I've only got Bless The Weather by JM. Solid Air sounds like it would be good to buy.

Another artist I should have looked at more deeply, I guess.

I was listening to a rockumentary on R2 last night about desert island discs and the artists who graced the label and influences etc, John Martyn, Jimmy Cliff, Roxy music, Grace Jones, all the way through to Bristol trip hop would you believe, good radio air time for once.
