whisky77,Im with U .to be able to get Cuban rum the only way to enjoy it is straight up or on the rocks. Have only had it once and it was increadably smooth compaired to Puerto Rican rum(drain cleaner), Cruzan Rum is very nice and Westahall is one of the best I have had in years(from a monistary in Granada.

Picked up another bottle. ?19.99 from my local, 3 year old white is ?14.99. Bit of a bargain compare to other prices (on the net at least).

Have quite a few decent cigars in there too - monte edmundo, partagas series d no.4 - both about ?15 a stick so won't be stocking up from there...

The barman, Rob, billed it as the world's best rum; apparently it won gold in the rum competitions so many times it now has an honary platinum on condition it doesn't enter any more!

TBH I'm inclined to agree; it was fantastic. Well worth a try Deano.

It definitely needs a twist (and slice) of lime in it to really perfect it.

Anybody have the recipe for a Mojihto using Cuban rum? I would like to make some long drinks up this summer.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

                    The Dawg.
