Nice but I think that's the special edition isn't it? Which I think is what they have in the offy next to me (I thought it was the 7 year aged one, but it's the special edition).

It's a similar taste and good tbh, especially at that price.

The wrinklies told me on the weekend the 1 litre bottles of 7 year old cost them ?7 in cuba. I got one of the above in tesco last week for roughly the same money as sainsbury

        7 YO

7 YO is the one to go for and the only thing better is the Barrel proof(duty fee).Fantastic stuff indeed, and compliments most cigars.

Thinking of trying that.... never tryed it before, what do you mix it with? I don't really drink anything other than wine, I've got some bacardi rum in the cupboard as a starting point what does it taste like to that (never tryed barcardi - but i can open it and try it to give me a starting point) now that i think of it... never tasted any rum at all lol

Chuck the bacardi down the sink to clean the drains !

Cola is the mixer I like although the bottle I got from tesco has 3 cocktail recipes on it.

Cuba Libre is rum and coke, classic, or a mojito although they are traditionally made with white rum (Bacardi for instance)

                  Straight.

Best drunk straight or with some ice IMO.

Not going to argue with you there Whisk, done nearly a bottle in as you suggest, one evening. I was going to post up straight, but the bloody keyboard kept overtyping and ate most of my text

Ah, on the subject of rum, I tried some seriously good stuff last weekend at my fave bar, The Kenilworth.

Its Guatamalan, and called Zacapa Centanario (23 years max aged through a solaris system).

The barman, Rob, billed it as the world's best rum; apparently it won gold in the rum competitions so many times it now has an honary platinum on condition it doesn't enter any more!

TBH I'm inclined to agree; it was fantastic. Well worth a try Deano.
