Great story, TJ. And a great picture.
    They look like great dogs!

BIG FUCKING PRICKs get everywhere and need to be taken to the vet's for a special caring injection of their own.

I really don't think you should talk about TJ like that when he is away on holiday.

At home today with my iPod on shuffle, a track called King by Neil Young came on about a guy whose dog had died. The guy used to tell everything to his dog.

I like Harvest Moon most of the Neil Young stuff I have heard and King is on that album.

Anyway... We have decided to get another rescue labrador so the wheels are in motion to be dogged again.

Good for you and the family mate, taking another needy pooch under the Orwellian wings Bryan. Haven't watched the clip yet as it's early and Mrs CJ121 is slumbering sweetly.

Morning Chris! You're up early too I see.

We're staying in Stirling overnight as my insane wife is competing in a triathlon this morning. She's already away to register so myself and the kids are supporting her by having a lie-in before heading down for a full cooked Scottish breakfast ie a coronary thrombosis! As Peter North once said - it's a hard life

Yup. Pete's certainly had it hard for a long time.

Off to a Kent Labrador Rescue fundraising fete tomorrow to look at the labradors.

Our new dog - we don't know which yet, and we will have the final say - will be available to us quite soon.

Testament to our dear Max that we desire another dog.

Nice one Brayn - glad to hear you're getting over the loss but I know you'll never forget him

I still think of my child-hood black cat Sooty. I put off getting a new cat until I was 39 because of a guilty feeling of disloyalty to Sooty...love my new cat just as much but I've never forgotten my first

                      Cheers, Stevie.

I certainly do recognise that 'disloyalty' thing you refer to, mate.

That explaines your current state of mellow! Please forgive my thoughtless threat.

                        Good luck, tomorrow!

                            For the recently joined...

Back in May, our family golden labrador passed away and it cut me/us to the quick.

Today we had a call from Kent Labrador Rescue that another golden labrador needs to be re-homed.

It's a very funny feeling. We will receive Archie LOL! next Monday.

The comparisons are massive. A six year-old golden labrador boy who is overweight and 'adorable'. Spitting image, already.

The biggest difference - seriously - is that they are going to remove Archie's balls this week before he comes to us. Max threw them at everyone and I was proud of him and them.

Comparisons are going to be inevitable, and we had hoped for a black lab to prevent that.

We also said - pretty quickly today - that we'll only have him for four or five years this time, and we understand that this time round.

I just want my new boy following me down to my cigar shack as soon as.

                            My furry ball-less boy.

lol nice robusto. Our dog passed away and we were after a similar dog, but we ended up with a border collie pup, crazy scatty thing it is.

I cant smoke with it, she goes apeshit over a smoke plume, shell whelp and wine and jump up at it, ill have to post a video sometime , its crazy
