Not sure if you are all aware, you might like to have a word with your MP if he/she is not to busy back dating his expense claims, but there is still one place in England where it's possible to smoke in doors with impunity....you guessed it; the Palace of Westminster.
One rule for you : No smoking, pay your taxes or get thrown in clink
One rule for us: Smoke where we like, climb into the trough and fill your boots.

I have seen that.
It looks like she was trying to exploit the same clause that cigar shops over there use for "sample" smoking of cigars on the premises.
The problem is, if too many publicans try to use this clause, somewhat cynically it has to be said, it will be removed altogether. No more sample cigar smoking.
Cigarette smokers can step outside for 5 minutes to do their thing, cigar smokers can't.Comment

Whilst I dislike the smoking fascists as much as the next man the Palace Of Westminster is apparently exempt in the same way all palaces are as they are a place of residence. (The speaker and the Lord Chancellor both have residences there).
However our "beloved" expense fiddling government have put a ban on smoking in the Palace regardless of whether it is legal or not..... didn't stop them claiming for swimming pools and porn though!Comment
