the mrs and kids are in bed all full of cold so I thought id take advantage (im a sympathetic soul I know) and have a smoke in my own house in my armchair, went for a shower and came back down and at the bottom of stairs fell off my bleedin stair lift!!! (and yes im sober!!) was only going to have a Jos? l piedras petit caz but sod it im going to have a hupmann corona jnr (not a big fancy smoke I know but better than a jlp) and a scotch too!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, donkey, but hopefully, you're back on track. Enjoy your smokes and endure the pain - remember, John Wayne would simply have had his boots laced tighter. They don't make 'em like they used to - a bit like cigars, I suppose. Try not to trip over any discarded matchsticks !

Sorry to hear of your mishap, I'm sure a good ol' smoke will go a long way to taking your mind off it and besides it could have been worse like that Phoenix nights episode where he is stuck on his chairlift all night due to a power cut!

that actually happened to me!! it was not a power cut it was the electric at home that tripped it had a manual winder thing back up, but that needed a second person and I was in alone!!!!! since then I always keep my mobile in my pocket and my new stairlift has battery backup!!!!!!

it was the source of humour in the village for ages a neighbour calls me ironside now!!
