Anyone know where to get a cheap-ish draw poker...I had a slightly tight RjY Short churchill at the weekend and wonder if a poker might have helped?

    cheers

    Have a look at this

I haven't personally tried it, but I have been told it is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Oh yes, I can recommend one of those. I dont own one but I have used one in the past and it was very good.
Sometimes I have used a very thin skewer and done it myself but you run the risk of pushing it through your hand or out the side, then it's game over!

The original Drawpoker can be had from Thompson Cigar, one of the most irreputable retailers on this side of the pond, for USD $25 (about ?17).

Or, you can go to Cigar Extras:

and buy it for USD $20 (just over ?13).

        Your call...

Thanks for the help you guys! That's the thing I'm after. I'm going to get the ebay one as the shipping will make cheaper than the US one but thanks anyway rokkitsci

Looking forward to trying it! I have about 20 cigars that have been resigned to the back of the drawer due to tight draw so mebbe they'll get a new lease of life. I have a Siglo V and some aged Hoyo DCs just waiting on it arriving

Stevie boy, did you discover these were tight before or after you had lit them?

LOL!!! Fortunately before lighting. I always test draw before lighting in case it's a duffer. There have been occasions where it's felt tight but lighting it up seems to release the draw. Can't wait to try this baby

I bought the item for the place Yiorgos suggested. It arrived four days after winning the auction in a well packaged parcel. I've unplugged around ?80 worth of cigars (but not smoked yet) so it's paid for itself already. Very easy to use but the only tiny flaw is that a DC is about 2mm too long for the device if you use a bullet cut. However, a guillotine cut will fit.

                      So far I've rescued:
                      1. Hoyo DC x4
                      2. Party Lusitania x2
                      3. Cohiba Siglo V x1
                      4. Cohiba DC 2003 EL x2
                      5. RASS x 1
                      6. H Upmann Monarca x1

You can see why I'd want to fix that lot ....

...the proof of the pudding will be in the eating....erm, the smoking so I'll report back this weekend hopefully....I have a hankering for a Hoyo DC

When I think back to all the cigars I've binned over the years due to poor draws...must be a good few hundred quid If only I'd had this thing...

                            This just in......

....it f'ing WORKS!!!!! It totally works. 100% works. Just leave the skewer in for 5 mins or so and spark up! The Lusi I had tonight was tighter than a gnats chuff but 5 mins on the Poker and that baby was goosie-loosie!!

An essential purchase...if only I'd had one years ago I could have saved ???s of smokes

Have I made it clear?? GET ONE!!!
