At work and not even 'arf way through, was wondering what are your favourite tipples whwn smoking? I normally only look at the % rating to see if its worth drinking first. Lately i only drink water when having a puff so as to get the flavours, Do any of you take a certain tipple to enhance the taste? I used to be into absinthe ( still like it ) the prepaeration for a true absinthe takes some time and effort and was good cos' you could enjoy the cigar before you actually got to drink anything. Mind you after a few absinthes most things become blurry. So whats your favourite|?

I only drink coffee, in various forms, strengths and brands. From a Italian Lavazza expresso or a Medaglia D'Oro expresso which I shipped over from the states.
If I fancy anything stronger I may have a calvados.
I've not really experimented with drinking anything else.

I had a friend that made green chilli gin for some daft reason he loved it???? and for some other daft reason I tried it. I cant begin to explain the unusual pain I felt as I drank it. Completley insane thing to do,
I think I ended up with one of the "Ready Brek" glows but green for a week.
He also had a collection of other strong spirits such as the "151" rum by barcardi which is ranked at 75% proof and is flammable at room tempreture! He recommended I didnt smoke with it.
Just as well really as I ended up slumped on the floor in a club toilet at the end of the night after he bought a hip flask of it on a night out.

Java and Habanas does it for me.
I'm with the Java boys on this one - senors CJ and jefehog. One of my very favorite times to enjoy a fine Habana puro is in the morning with a fresh, French-pressed, Cup 'o Joe.
Perhaps my fondest memory of the inaugural puro walk in London was the morning coffee outside the restaurant where some of us meet for breakfast before the walk.
Mr. Jefe, I'm curious...how do you prepare Medaglia D'Oro?

I can't find a better drink to have with a cigar than a strong mug of tea with milk and no sugar. I usually specify Assam, but I had to get some blue bagged TETLEY tea bags from the garage recently when we run out, and they make a bloody good cuppa.
I'm with Stevieboy really about alcoholic drinks. I like port with cigars, and sometimes a whisky.
Whisky is a baffling drink for me. I know I like single malts when I feel like it but am no expert on the subject. Sometimes I find whisky overpowering, and a cigar cannot cut through that strong taste. For me, whisky can knacker my palate. (Never know how to spell that vs an artist's palette).
I have never had a cigar with gin or vodka, so may try that.
I will sometimes smoke to a good bitter, or a bitter shandy.
I do like to set off on a walk with a flask of strong tea and a couple of Robustos and knock them off outdoors somewhere if it's not a windy day.
On my tod. Lost in thought.
Bliss.

Depends how much time I have, either a french press if I need it quick or I'll fire up my expresso machine then, put it in, pack it down & pressure it up baby!Free the UKCF one

- During the day - Earl Grey of Lapsang Souchong tea (black)
- In the evening - Port or even better, if I have any in, Recciotto del Valpoliccella ( Italian red dessert wine)
- in the Pub - Wadworth 6X or Youngs Special

Now I'm a drinker....I drink far too much and usually its Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey or if I'm out and haven't a lot of choice Jack Daniels. I love a drop of Hendricks Gin too.... However my favourite with a cigar is a good cup of tea! Bewleys Irish Breakfast when I can find it or a great tea called Brewhaha! Tesco's Scott Of The Antarctic tea is pretty good too!
