You know you are old when you see your carpet falling to pieces! Yes, sadly it is.
At first the hall way carpet started falling apart, then the living room, then the kitchen and now I don't even have a good shag in the bedroom, just as my wife...
Anyway, the carpet throughout the main house (hall way, kitchen, living room) is long pile and in the bedroom is shag pile. I got it put in when I had the house built in 1990 (but the carpet is actually from about 1970 as it was taken from our old house which had much bigger rooms) and it cost a pretty penny but I was convinced it would outlive me. Maybe not it seems!
So, I'm out for recommendations on replacement carpets that will be durable but also be plush and shag pile if possible.
They are hoovered weekly with an old 1960s Kirby we got as a wedding present from the mother in law so I HOPE that old thing isn't what has caused it to fall to bits but maybe it is...
