  • HELP PLEEEASE!

Hey guys, got some sticks this morning and found one has some sort of 'flour' looking stuff on which I susspect is mold or ploom (have no idea on either of these). It wipes off, is it safe to put in the humi or not. I'll put a photo up later on but hopefully I can get a diagnosis without one Thanks,James

No. Don't put it in the humi yet. Let the guys see them first. They may need a spell of quarantine.
If you want to, you can.

If its in distinct places its usually mould all over with no patches tends to be plume (very rare). With mould If its not on the foot then wipe them down and put them in a tuperware for a few weeks to check it won't come back then into the humi.

If your too worried about them ANY reputable dealer should refund or replace.

Ok, I put it in the humi last night as I could only look at them this morning, but it was part of a 3 pack and in a tubo so I guess I should be ok anyway (wasn't in for more than about 12 hours). I'll wipe it off and put it in a tupper and smoke it soon so I know it won't do any damage haha. The other 2 that were in the 3 pack of tubos aren't affected, are they safe to go in?

I would personally keep all three out but then I'm paranoid, just check the foot of the cigar because if it's spread to the foot you really don't want to be inhaling the spores.

Mould I'm afraid James. Wipe it off carefully with a cloth (well away from your humi). Make sure there's none in the foot and keep it in a small tuppador away from your other cigars.

Failing saving it .... smoke it, get rid of the problem in flame!

I thinks it's more common with the cardboard packaging. Almost creates a micro climate of its own

Probably be more vigilant for the next couple of months but should be ok. It's a good habit to get into to always inspect before it gets into the get into the humi.

Freezing doesn't kill mould unfortunately.....just brush it off and smoke that bastard!
