  • chargeback on unreceived orders

    Hi

I'm wondering how one handles the chargeback claims with a visa CC from UK for cigar purchases. Does one just state you ordered cigars and they never reached their destination or something wrong happened, the responsability of which is legitimate to attribute to the supplier, or one isn't supposed to mention Cigars at all ?

    Thanks
    Luis
The more shortens my cigar, the more I must reach out to the ashtray. A boss also has his worries.

Cigar purchases not from UK suppliers are not discussed on this forum. I would talk to you CC supplier, I can't see how you can't mention cigars though.

Never had to put through a charge back on cigars but on anything else you just state you never received the goods and they usually take some details and do the rest of the work.
Don't see why there would be a problem telling them it was cigars as there is nothing in the VISA terms and conditions about cigars as far as I know.
I will say that from friends that run retailers that they hate charge-backs if the've not been given an opportunity to rectify your problem so only use it as a last resort

I think he's concerned about how his Bank will consider the original purchase Dean, and whether or not they are legally obliged to make the chargeback. I think as far as banks are concerned the purchase is OK. Notifications to the Revenue Agencies are the responsibility of the customer not the bank.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Thanks all for your replies, I'll wait a few more days to see if the retailer react than will try and proceed with the chargeback.
