Well it all seems to be marching towards an almost inevitable Germany v Spain final, doesn't it?

Unless we can beat Germany in the semis, with apologies to Nino but that that alone would be a successful Euro for us
PS Yep, I know, gotta get passed Italy first.

Well, the Germans would love to have England in the semi-finals as they believe they would be easier to beat than the "unpredictable" Italy ....

Don't mind who plays the finals vs Spain ....

I am sure the Germans would rather face England Nino for the reason you state, it would be the bookies fav too. As long as it's a good clean fight, I'll wish the best team on the night goes through. Remember one of the diffferences between football & rugby is that it's easier for a weaker football team to win than in Rugby, especially with the number of free kicks & penalties given these days.

Simon, guess the better team deservedly took the victory home tonight.

Germany has never won vs Italy in a mayor event ...

                We'll see.

Pretty poor effort from both sides Nino, why they cruised through th eextra time without threatening a goal knowing if they didn't they'd be facing penalities I can't understand. At least the Italian Goalkeeper Captian was up for it & despite the Itailians record on penalties being almost as bad, they had more belief on the night.
Luckily the goal the Italians did score was ruled offside or we'd all be crying 'We was robbed!'
I'd guess Germany should beat the Italians based on their performance last night, I'l be checking tthe Flying Cigart to se how you celibrate

oh well, packed the pubs out for a few nights, typical England game , gave the ball away too many times and then could not get it back
think lucky and you'll be lucky

Pirlo's classy penalty was the turning point, blew England's confidence, and the Italians confidence grew when they saw how easy he put the ball in the back of the net....

The team that i would watch out for is Portugal, lot's of energy and skill, they create lots of chances and are dangerous in the final third....
Spain will have to be at there best, or Ronaldo and Nani will tear through there back line and create havoc for Casillas....

That's a pretty outlandish statement you're making, the rather wild assumption that England had any confidence taking penalties before Pirlo's penalty.
