I know there are a few footy fans here so I thought I would start a tread about the up coming European championships.

After last night I don't rate Englands chances but Ashley Young looks good.

I guess Spain must be favourite to retain being world champs and all. But I would like to see the Dutch do well and Ireland.

What are everyones thoughts?

dont think england have much chance, if they play like they did in the second half last night i think england will struggle.

i did fancy germany but after them getting beat 5-3 by the swiss i may think again. but i agree spain are the team to beat.

would be nice to see the irish do well for a change

hahahaha As far as the football goes,I think the usual cliches will apply.England will disappoint,you can never write off the Germans,the Italians will bore the pants off you but be bloody hard to beat etc etc.......but I agree it's difficult to see anyone stronger than Spain.Perhaps the French for an outside bet??

I think you're right on that one. Just hope we beat Sweeden this time!

If we beat the French, Chelski style i.e. with a bit of luck, tongues will wag and belief will grow. We have to get through the group stage surely ? Come on Roy and the Boys . I see Young and Welbeck are in good form wait till Rooney returns .

Good game, not sure how they will fair against the big teams. Nice clean game, no falling around and all that rubbish. No cards either. Good reffing from Web he let the game flow.
