Cutter,Scissors or a Punch?
...or maybe it's the ol' macho bite it & spit it out...
I have used them all at some time (except for the macho bit,my wife & dog both complained ,and hey,it's embarassing when you have a cigar that comes away from your mouth wearing false teeth ).
My favourite is a Xicar style twin blade with wooden grips, gives a good firm positive cut which I find hard to achieve with a "normal" guillotine twin or single blade cutter (maybe because I have small hands).
Also,I have "twist" action & spring action punch cutters, these cut a nice clean plug but I find they can give a restricted draw with too much concentration of the tars etc. coming through the smaller hole can sometimes mar what would be an otherwise good smoke,so they are relegated to my keyring for emergency use.
Scissors,I find, require a level of finesse that I must be lacking (small hands again?).
So what is your preferred method and implement?
