Cuban grub in Cardiff called

Well... Cuban inspired maybe

There's a Cuban bar in Cardiff called Revolucion de Cuba and i managed to convince the work bros to sample the lunch menu today. We asked in the first instance whether we'd have time for grub given that we only really had half an hour before we had to be officebound. Fair play to them! They made dam sure they could accommodate!

We all ordered something different from the lunch menu with a coke: Cuban influenced pulled pork roll with fries for me (salad was dressed with mint and lime like a mojito too ), the fellas had a Cuban piella and a Cuban spiced chicken bun. Everyone ws suitably impressed. Less than ?7 each too! Who's gonna argue with that!

Then to top it off the waitress was as hot as holy hell and the bill came in this

Though im not sure on cuban food ive always found it a bit bland.

That's definitely a nice touch. I used to love it when smoking was allowed at the Cuban restaurant near me.

This was in no way bland but also in no way authentic. They basically spiced up some generic recipes with 'inspiration' from Cuba. I had a spicy house chilli sauce on my pork and the above mentioned mojito dressed salad. It was really nice though if nothing else

If you're in town, you go up the street to the side of superdrug towards hahas and the Hilton and its just before Hahas on the right. They are to do with revolution hence the name

Yup went there a few weeks back for dinner, didn't see much in the way of cigars etc but it's well done for a faux Cuban bar, lots of nice touches, such as the bill in a cigar box :-)
