The Dream is over....or is it?

            Mates, Amigos, & Dudes,

Names TJ, TJCoro, and I had the most fabulous day with my fellow puros walkers.

I just returned to the dump, errrrr, I mean one of UK's finest hotels and planned to start a thread on the walk, but I see a few of the "eager beavers" on this site beat me to it.

Just a quick post as I prepare to leave to thank everyone on the walk for making this simple, but honest hombre from the Great State of Mind, Mexico feel very welcome here in London. I couldn't have asked for a better group of mates to spend the day with. A most excellent time, muchachos!!!

I also want to extend a special thank you to senor NicWing for playing host and ensuring the ol' TJ was well looked after Friday night. I won't soon forget relaxing with puros and wine on the Boisdale smoking terrace. Well done, mate!

And to senor IV, the soon to become senora IV, Mr. Peanut, and Nadir (sp?) for hangin' in after the other Nancys (fuck!!!), I mean fine gentlemen left for home. The Bolivar Regional was the perfect finish to a absolutely perfect day! Thanks Nadir for guiding me back to my du....fine hotel.

Looking forward to hearing from others who took the Grand Puro Tour, especially you Mr. Ass....opps, I mean Mr. Ash Pants!

Names TJ, TJCoro, and I just returned from a most excellent journey!

                  Gents. TJ lol.

Just uploaded my phone snaps. Such a good day.

The thought of five men meeting for the most part for the very first time in a Burlington Gardens cafe over eggs Benedict, moving into bonding-mode conversation totally comfortably from the very start...

...THEN... having their teas and coffees transported outside by a waitress to a couple of streetside tables where the same five men pull out their cigar hauls from sober bags, handbags, gaybags, whatever...

The ritual slicings. The flamethrowers lighting up. The clouds of Havana fug rising in the morning sun...

                  This was the mere kick-off.

I get a smiling buzz in my head about the other breakfast eaters looking out at the five of us smoking brown monsters at dawn (ish) and wondering what the fuck we were up to. Such a great feeling...

Sitting here now, this slightly rakish, cad-ish scenario makes me think of scenes from Evelyn Waugh's novels in a naughties way.

And WHAT a way for some of us to meet, hey?!

I have many compromising jpegs but will hold back as I think we're going to turn this into some kind of massive album.

As all of us bundled out of JJ Fox, a woman walking up the hill past the fuggy open shop door said "Oh, what a lovely smell!".

It's bloody marvellous being a disciple in the community! I love my slipstream to be a turn on.

TJ - Have a very safe journey back, Sir. Brilliant that you made this trip.

                  Ash Arse xxxxx

                    * For those that don't speak "Larry," laughed my muva fuckin' off.

Names TJ, TJCoro, and who else would write like this?

What a fantastic day. I would like to thank Nic for organising such a truly memorable day, everything about the day was top draw, in particular I would like to thank TJ for travelling such along way to be with us.

The whole day was one which I will remember with fondness for a very long time. I would like to thank every one who attended for there wonderful company during the day in particular Robusto, TJ , Deano, CJ, Cohiba, Peanut & Nic.

                      Safe journey home TJ.

Cohiba you must be on nicotine overload still!!
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

                              Great shots, Deano!

Nic has contacted to ask if someone can put a "full cast" picture up. Maybe at the Churchill statue, or outside the Stafford?...

He forgot to take his camera, and I didn't get a statue photo on my phone.

I'll put what I have on my site album in a mo.

HERE ARE MY SNAPS FROM YESTERDAY.
