As the weekend closes in. I?m getting ready to set my alarm for the early hours as the new 2012 f1 teams prepare their works of art for the first taste of competitive racing. With winter testing over, Will Melbourne reveal a driver and car capable of stopping Vettel speeding through to his 3^rd consecutive title. Oh I hope so!

Don?t know if anyone else watches f1 but I can?t wait for the weekend.

Ino mate. Every year I tempt myself but just can bring myself around to parting that much for an app. tho I’m sure it’s not usually ?39.99 that is ridicules. Think it’s normally around ?20.00

Love F1... But rather annoyed with not all the races being shown on the Beeb, and since I flat out refuse to give Sky any of my money (and Virgin Media is non-existent round these parts) that means I can only get half the races

Just need to get a new laptop with a battery that's good for more than an hour, and I shall start downloading the races the Beeb broadcasts via iPlayer and heading down to my local with a cigar to have a few beers and watch the race.

Love F1, most of the good races are on the BBC and if you have the HD pack with Sky you get the F1 chanel. I hope that Mclaren do well this year and BUTTON or HAMILTON win. Got the SKy+ set for Sunday!

Daniel, I couldn’t agree more its fing annoying. If you’ve got a laptop or an Xbox you can use “sky anywhere” website. You just need a sky id which if any of your mates have sky you could use theirs if they are not using it for a laptop already. The same thing goes for sky go on the ipad. I’m pretty sure that’s how it works then again I could be completely wrong.

I’ve got to hike all the way to my parent’s house to watch it.

I like F1 too. Hope somebody can stop the Red Bulls this year. Think Jenson will give Vettel a good run, but my dark horse for success this year is Raikkonen. I have a bet on with somebody who reckons he won't even get on the podium this year. I think he'll win at least one race with multiple podiums. What do you guys think?

Looks like Mercedes have tech advantage with the rear wing. I bet all the factories will be busy copying that over the next few weeks
