I have had a few interesting hobbies when i was in the uk...
Firstly it was the subaru impreza of which i was in the owners club, loved them and owned 2 of them..first one was a black japanese import wrx, with all the sti extra's and was one of the loudest things on the road, sounded amazing.
The second was in the famous world rally blue, a version 6 sti type r wrc limited, 1 of 1000 made for the japanese market, loved it, was an amazingly quick beautiful looking car.
Sadly i had to let it go, when i left the uk.
I also collected 35mm movie films from theatres and had 100's of prints and trailers dating as far back as i could remember...for example original trailer releases for the godfather, scarface, and enter the dragon etc....i also had a full original print of Enter the dragon....loved this movie along with many others like the terminator and lord of the rings etc...sold the whole lot for pennies really. I also enjoyed dj-ing in my spare time.
Now i'm into my cigars, who knows maybe a pipe next...sti type r 5.jpgsti type r 8.jpg i added a few pics of my motor...

      Hmmn.. Let me think..

Well recently, I’ve been working on attaining a tranquil state of inner peace and harmony.. (How do you think I’m doing so far?).

And when I'm not exploring the dark sea of awareness, I like to experiment with RC Helicopters.

Vintage rums are one of my other hobbies, they go well with the cigars.

I also collect vintage cigar advertising material such as enamel signs, mirrors, showcards etc and the wife reckons our lounge looks more like an old cigar shop than a lounge

Sea fishing is another hobby, I run a fishing tackle company so need to fish to test all the gear

So, you going to be at the BSB at Easter? If so I feel a camping mini herf coming on

Not brave enough to do a track day to be honest, I spend so much on the damn things that the thought of them getting damaged puts me off.

As for the original miniatures, I remember as a kid in around 1983 when citadel started buying my first ones and painting them to the most appalling standard lol....ahhh happy days.

I'm not sure yet, this last 12 months has been chaotic with my wife suddenly finding three sisters and a huge extended family around the globe (she was an adopted child), most of our time is spent travelling seeing everyone atm.

I remember Citadel miniatures, before they were swallowed by Games Workshop, I think I have some of their figures up in the attic.

I've dug out a pic of me on my Gixer when doing a Donington track day, my brother took the photo as he is a motorsport/aviation photographer, taken at Redgate corner.

                        The current Collection:

Ducati 848 all in Carbon Fibre, just waiting for the tank.

A wonderful Ducati 750 SS converted into a 750 superlight and rebuilt from the ground up, took around 1 year.

My 748Bip, nothing amazing just a very pretty bike, again brought back to as new.

A Ducati S4R1000 Senna edition, with every conceivable extra but without loosing the look of the beastie.

                        Then there is this...

My head says no but my heart says yes, i've put down a large deposit just trying to get the rest of the pennies together.

Hehehe, shame our weather is so sucky

LOL Yeti - So I gather your a Duke fan

I must say the original 748/916 design is the ultimate looking bike for me, I don't think it will ever be bettered.

That is one hell of a collection of bikes, and as for the Desmo - holy crap! That MUST be spanked around a track lol, for the power of that I'd have to go for Snetterton just for the straight hehe

I'm a Susi fan at heart, my favourite bike being a beloved '97 TL1000S which I owned for many years, totally modded with Ohlins suspension, Brembo bits, Harris rearsets, remapped and tuned. She could embarrass a lot of race reps.

Fencing and writing ... and before TJ does it could we please forget about the fencing jokes because trust me it isn't funny. I remember a new guy making the joke when being asked "Have you done fencing before?" He replied with the usual and the room just when dead silent.
If TJ wants to poke some fun he can have a look at this Do you do fencing?, I am a fencing champion! and this I want to learn the sabre!
                              Funny because it's true

After reading though the "fluff" of w40k ive decided to base my new hobby and army not on one of the cannon space marine chapters but on the far more funny ANGRY marines power feet ftw.

ANGRY MARINES always angry all the time.
