Sad to say but I have never bought a box of sticks before, mainly as Ive found it fun trying lots of different brands and styles but also due to the cost, I'm going over to Brugge next month though so think I might pick myself up a box of Monte no2s , anyone else yet to get a box>?

My first box was Punch Punch about six years ago. It took me ages to decide on what was to be first. I cast around the internet for weeks before deciding. It was one of life's great excitements I think.....like getting married, kids being born etc

It's like a sexual flashback when you pick up the phone or look for a rubber and the colourful box is in your peripheral vision. Maybe even with the faintest of hums.
They are beautiful things in their own right.

Ditto, never throw your old boxes out.I agree with Boss Hog in relation to getting as much exposure to the different vitolas and brands before deciding on committing to purchasing a box, especially if you are new to cigar smoking or are on a limited budget; lets make no bones about it, it is not a cheap hobby.
Once you have purchased your first box then the chances are you will not buy many singles from then on,purely from an economic point."Keep your eyes peeled, your arse up, head down, and your ear to the gound" WHISKY77
