  • Smoking den/ok its a shed.

Well the time as come where SWMBO has told me after some particularly foul smelling rockets im not allowed to smoke in the house any more and its far too cold to smoke in the open so ive had to move my hobby into my garden shed as the garage is full of well shite that we never use but never throw away either

So after throwing away a heap ton of crap and evicting the local mice (my cats having a field day 5 mice in two days) i finally have some space to stretch out ive put some old carpet down ive got a old fishing chair and rigged some dodgy electrics so ive got a light a nice space heater and ill soon have somewhere to stick my laptop but what els should i get.

Ive also thinking of converted my old BOSS fishing seatbox into a humidor to keep in there as the bottom must be 250+ capacity and its got plenty of draws for lighters and cutters and pipe cleaners and stuff

Im thinking of a mini fridge maybe a little shelf for a few bottles of whisky and rum (it gets real cold in there)

I really need to upgrade the chair to something slightly better so ill head down to the charity shop later and see.

Maybe even rig up a little wood burning stove it dosnt sound too suicidal.

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

      Great den you have there!

I have a brick shed at the bottom of the garden, emptied of all contents ready to be converted to a herfery. Only problem is it suffers a lot with damp and needs a huge amount of work to insulate and make usable, I keep telling myself to do it come spring each year but just end up sitting on the patio enjoying a smoke instead

        That is awesome!

maybe you should have a decanter full of wiskey at the ready? and i was thinking if you are worried about the dodgy electrics you could get a parrafin heater? (not sure on there actual output). And what about a bed, you could spend days smoking in there at a time lol.

I was thinking more of ale and rum and schnapps and if i put a bed in it i would be buried under the shed.

Rum sounds good, maybe you could sub the bed for a blanket .

Thinking of doing the same. Little smoking lounge isn't big enough for over 2 people and the smell puts me off the next day!
They're bloody expensive though, if you want thermal walls etc.

I think the large picture on the wall is a nice touch.

sounds like the perfect spot mate, as long as the chair is comfy and the smoke is pleasant, couldn't ask for much more!

After rummaging through my old fishing gear and going back to bed at 11.30 like a boss i managed to find my old bedchair so i think that covers my seating issues and keeps me in the clear with my girl "its just a reclining chair"

After a quick (well hour and a half) smoke tonight ive come to the conclusion theres still work to do so i might turn this into a "project" thread

                            Things to do

                            Bung up the holes
Cut a notch under the door so it can close with the power cord under it its letting too much heat out
                            Install drinks shelf
                            Another light would be nice
MUST install a small plasma screen and sky box (somehow)
And the most important of them all --- remember to bring the cats pillow in so the fat bastard dosnt hog my chair and refuse to move.

Ventilation is a must, to keep the condensation out. I use an oil filled radiator with timer / thermostat in mine with insulation on the roof. It stays plenty cosy. I also use a patio heater inside if it's too chilly (like now!).
