The wife's always complaining about the cigar ash she has to wade through on our patio, and, when am I going to do something about the crumbling unused water feature sitting in front of the shed.
    Suddenly, a eureka moment.

Genius! I'm going to get a pond fitted in the middle of the lounge.

Top marks for ingenuity/recycling skills there Linners. I bet your wife'll think it looks fug ugly when it's nearly filled: a graveyard of the spirits of sticks past. It's got that mausoleum look about it: good stuff

Really nice, love your style. Did you get Charlie and her Dimmocks to fit it for you?

How about a new thread, a sweep stake on how long it takes you to fill it (assuming the lady wife doesn't come over all 'cleaning' on you). Suggest we all put in a stogie by way of a wager and the nearest scoops the pot.

We've got one of those swinging seat things in the garden and the missus came to sit beside me this afternoon.
            Unfortunately she was downwind.
After several minutes of coughing, and F'ing and Blinding she went indoors to watch 'Some Britons think they've got Talent'.
Leaving me in peace to fog up the the unfortunate plants and wildlife.

I swear the Blackbirds nesting in the hedge have developed a nasty cough.
I'll put some linctus on the bird table tomorrow.
