My misses wanted to make all our Christmas cards this year, and to give her her dues, they look pretty amazing. She ran out of a few bits though, so we had to go to the craft store. I went on a bit of a wander and found an entire aisle dedicated to the art of candle making! So we now have everything and more needed to become fully fledged candlestick makers! Shall let you know how it goes.

I've gotten my wax and everything this week and have been crafting. Can only seem to find the dinner-candle mould I have, the tapered kind. They're rather nice. For colour I am chucking in crayon-halves to spruce it up a bit, not bad at all! I'm sure word will spread among the family, and every holiday I will be the recipient of candles a plenty....note, not candle supplies

We bought these small metal tins, so instead of using a mould, this acts as the mould and just burns straight from the tin which cuts down on some hassle. As for colour, I cant remember exactly what we got, but it looks like coloured salt, that you just chuck in and mix, and does the job. I hope this doesnt turn into a full on hobby for the misses...as I can see me being out for the day, and all the good pots and pans being covered in wax, not to mention every other surface in the kitchen area haha!
