  • Back from two wonderful weeks in Ireland

Well, the trip is but a memory though needless to say a great one, as always. The guys from Dublin are the absolute best hosts in the world. Trust me, I've felt so welcome I've come back three times in less than a year and a half. Don't know why they waved goodbye with both hands this time though.

Anyway, the absolute best time of the trip was the fact that we were lucky enough to be there when the 1st Che Do Bheatha: Cuban Festival in Kilkee was being thrown. I could write about it but you can read a great article about it by Rob Fox here:

We're Ireland's leading cigar and spirits retailer, operating for over 140 years. Our specialities are Cuban cigars, Irish whiskey and smoking pipes, with a great selection of these (and more!) on our physical and virtual shelves.

I'm hoping the link works as it's a great story about the part of the festival that actually is interesting to us cigar smokers. I also uploaded a new album of some pictures of the night here:

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this such a great event, and there's talk of it becoming an annual event. If so, see you all next year.

Great to see you again Rick. That was a laugh down in Clare, I'm really glad to made it down and for the night in Dublin.
Nice town Kilkee but a bizarre enough place to have a Che Guevara festival. I have a feeling this will become a yearly event..
Hope to see you at the next one!
Please say Hi to Chris for me, lovely to meet her again too.
I'm in Cuba with Rob in just over two weeks time, I'll have pictures for you. I'd be wearing my Cubbies hat if I hadn't given it away last time I was there..

Edit. By the way, I still don't know who that girl was, could you blame her though?

No, from Missouri all my life. Just love visiting Ireland and Great Britain, and all parts of Europe for that matter.

Chris says hello back Andy. It was great just like I said. Smart move giving away the Cubs hat. A few Cubs would probably like to do the same.

Cannot believe you're back to Cuba so fast. Are you going again in February for the festival too? Have a great time and don't forget the pictures.

Going to the Partagas festival in November. I have an apartment rented with Rob this time, should be a laugh. Going back in Feb for the Habanos festival too. I have a very kind wife!
                There'll be pictures.
                Talk to you soon Rick.
