2010 EL's Monte Grand Edmundo & Party Especials

OK, so it's a year on from their release... what are they like? Worth picking up some? I've not tried either, yet...

I'm tempted to split a box of each and have 5 of the Grand Edmundo and Party Especial's, if anyone else might be interested in doing a split?

Had a box of the Grands and they smoked well for new cigars, I enjoyed them and I bet they are even better now.. The only problem was that I kept on comparing them with the Sublimes of which are a whole load better..

Yeah they're good smokes, but try not to compare with the Sublimes, which are a level higher.

Would I be better off grabbing some Siglo VI's to put away for a little while? What else might I consider?

Hm I personally think Sig VIs are over-rated. I've even had some with a good few years on them and I still don't reckon much of them. Can't see the fuss.
Grab some Monte Sublimes if you can, but the LE 2010s are good, don't get me wrong...

Love the Siglo VI myself but you would be better of getting one to try first if I were you..

Is there no love for the Party Especials i have a box of both and for me i enjoy the Party Especial more than the Grand Edmundo im not saying the monte is a bad cigar and not for me they are decent but i just think the Especial is a better smoke than the Monte though im sure others will differ

I didnt care much for the grand Edmundos, loved the sublimes on first release but now its a different story. They didnt seem to age well in the last couple of years. Quite a muted profile now.

The Party Especial on the other hand was great on release and just as good now. Like a refined d4. Under rated imho.

Sublimes are an age & box dependant smoke... can be a total Red or Black....

Awful question really mate..doing comparisons on cigars in different leagues & with not enough age on them for anyone to form anything other than a 'new smoke' opinion is jumping the gun a tadge!
