Well, well, well....on my continued venture into the Cuban Cigar world, my mate in Hamburg gave me one of these the other night, my god it was beautiful. No review as I really wasn't paying attention but it was spicy, peppery, sweet and creamy, my god I loved it.

I will buy another tonight and do a review soon, not that you really want to know

If u like the Monte 2 you should look out for a diplomatico 2, there's a long standing argument over which is better, I'm in the dip 2 camp

Strange one for me, I used to smoke Monte 2's all the time.

I've tried a couple of Dippy 2s, they seemed more earthy from memory but it has been a while.

Revisited a Monte 2 a few weeks ago which was from an 08 box that had been sat in my humi for three years, it left me a little underwhelmed to my surprise and completely puzzled, due to them being a former 'goto' cigar.

I would try another but I only have two left which I am keeping ready to do a comparison with the two Gran Reserva No2's I was given by a friend.

Aaah that could be a while, after not very favourable opinions from
my friend and others at the festival I've been advised to leave them for a few years at least.
Not the fact the GR No2 is a bad smoke, just it didn't seem 'much' better than a standard Monte 2 to warrant the higher asking price.

A little bit off topic, but I have to say that I have had a couple of boxes of the Dip No .4 that have knocked the Monte No. 4 into the proverbial cocked hat.

Upmann No2 is good as well.

I feel like adding a bit to this the upmann for me is closer to the montie but not quite a dip 2 just smoke one and maybe you will understand what im getting at cos honestly i dont atm.
