Good afternoon everybody,
It's a lovely summers day here in Cardiff, very few clouds in the hypnotic ice blue sky. The sky is patrolled by what I believe to be a Red Kite (not a bird expert) and I just smoked my first ever Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill.
I've been sat outside for the last hour or so with my RyJ whilst absorbing some of the Sun's rays. I started the cigar with quite high hopes, the first third was lovely. Lots of flavour, some sweet yet the occasional hint of pepper and spice.
The second third of the cigar was very strong, the flavour was quite "meaty" yet enjoyable. The flavour was consistent yet sweet flavours arose from time to time.
The last third of the cigar I can't put my finger on what flavours were there though they were enjoyable. I would call the last third of the cigar mild and probably Earthy.
Overall, I found this cigar very light and complicated. There is a wide spectrum of flavours, the cigar is very soft with lots of smoke. I enjoyed this cigar a lot, I would buy this cigar again though I will experiment with other brands first before I buy another one.
Did this cigar reach my expectations? In a word, yes. I'm very new to smoking cigars, this cigar is probably for the more experienced smoker, however I thoroughly enjoyed it. Romeo y Julieta has certainly gone up in my ratings, I wasn't a fan of them before I tried this cigar but I can safely say they've won me over. Out of 10, I'd give this cigar an 8.6
The cigar's burn was excellent, the construction was very sturdy and the flavours were epic.
Thanks for reading
