Bolivar Petit Coronas vs Monte No 4

Hi guys

I am thinking to order a box of Bolivar Petit Corona.

I love and smoke Monte No4's at all times but never smoked Bolivar PC.

I would like to know your thoughts please.

Bolivar Pc's are stronger than the Monte 4's , I like both marca's depends on your mood

A Cab of 50 Bolivar Petit Corona's with a couple of years on them will always win it for me. My most smoked pc over the years.

I would say it's a big leap from a Monte No 4 (which was my first regular Havana as well), to a Boli PC. I wouldn't buy a box but buy three singles. If you like them then as Nev say's, go for the Cab if you can afford it. Frankly I found the first Boli PC I had was really strong compared with other Marvleas & I had smoked a few few Bolis of other vitola before that.
I would suggest broadening your tastes first with R&J tubos No2, JLPC but best of all PLPC. RASCC should be included as a flav powerhouse & thus work up to the strength of the Boli. Let us know how it goes.

The Boli PC is certainly stronger than the Monte No.4...

IMO the Boli PC has to come from a Cab of 50...

Like Simon says MDJ, buy some singles and see how you get on...

I'm a Monti 4 man and I've had just two Bolivar PC. one was very good, the othe was bad.... both had draw and burn issues tho.

I've heard the Bolivar PCs do have burn issues but i couldn't comment personally since i haven't tried them. Just to emphasize what the others have said, if you buy a cab of 50 and find you don't like them your stuck, if you buy 2 or 3 singles you'll know without needing to burn a hole in your wallet only to find out you hate the Bolivar PC.

I don't think any humidor should be without a box of Boli PCs, and CJs for that matter. I always try to keep a fairly deep stock of those.

While that preference is definitely one man's opinion, I can not imagine how anyone could say the boli PC has construction problems compared to a Monte 4; the most hit-and-miss habano in production.
