  • H. Upmann Cigars...

    Good afternoon fellow BOTL,

I've yet to explore this make - does anyone fancy making a recommendation for a newbie to start on? Preferably, with an alcoholic drink accompaniment...

The mighty Sir Winston, one of my fave cigars ever. Older the better. With a Belgian Beer. Leffe Bruin is my recomendation.

Once again, Belgian Beer - If only I could find Pelforth here in the UK...my favourite tipple when down in Antibes.
      Cheers dude,

Love the Sir Winston but you could also go for Mag 46 of Mag 50...

There are 27 brands of hand made habanos? Are you going to post 27 occurrences of the same question?

The question is smallclub, should he post 27 occurrences of the same question, are you going to reply to each occurrence with the same question as your asking now?

This is getting mighty confusing, my recommendation for the H.Upmanns try the Mag 50 (can't really comment on the 46 yet)..

The Sir Winston is a stand out cigar, one of my favourites. Give that a go.

If you can get hold of any of the 48s then they're very nice too, a unique taste imo.

For me it's the Sir Winston everytime.

I've tried the Magnum 46, 48 and 50 and the PC. The 46 stands head above the rest going on my minimal sampling of each. I really fancy trying the Connoiseur No. 1 though.

I in now way meant to offend your obviously sensitive constitution, Smallclub...my sincere apologies for what has been interpreted as a stupid question.

However, my original intention was rather than posting the rather bland, scatter-gun newbie question of "I've purchased a box of matches and want to know what Cigar I should buy to use them with..." (or similar), I thought I'd solicit genuine likes and dislikes within a certain brand; much as many other posts seem to do...

Anyways, thanks for the other responses - they were appreciated.
