The Chinese market angle is interesting stuff indeed.Never thought about the Chinese smokers being into Cigars. With such a vast population and an increasing middle class I suppose it was only a matter of time."Keep your eyes peeled, your arse up, head down, and your ear to the gound" WHISKY77

Cigars were not the choice of the majority of Chinese back then, but they were around and easy to come by.Commander Bob

In most disciplines journalists often list sources of information. I would love to see the sources of these numbers so one could gauge accuracy.

Every shop i've spoken to over the last few months in Germany, Dubai and South Eastern Spain (maybe 12 different shops) have said it's been a bumper year even with the recession lingering.
Let me guess, your next comment will be "Cuba giving up on cigars!"

I'm telling you lads, there's something fishy going on around here. The 2-post lad joined about a gazillion forums within the last few days, including this one, and has already been banned from one. I don't think he's legit, but he can speak for himself.
In the meantime....there's something rotten in Denmark!
NamesBoy, Bag Boy, and I'm keeping a watch on this one.
