  • Romeo and Juliets

    Hi Everyone,

Recently got back from Cuba and bought quite a few cigars. I'm fairly new to it and am quite enjoying them! I'm trying to find out the exact type of Romeo and Juliets that i bought, I did not take much notice of them when I bought them. Since I have got home I have noticed there is nothing distinguishing about them on the box. I was wondering if any of you experts could help? The box itself is 17cm tall so cigar length is around 15cm. Not sure of the guage as i'm in work and dont have any on me. They also have a tapered end?

I'm interested as I want to buy some more when these run out, they are perfect for my taste. I also have a (sealed) box of Cohiba Maduro (genios) 5s but feel they may not be to my taste.

If anyone can help with identifying the R & Js or is interested in the Cohibas, please give me a shout.

    Thanks

    Dan

Hey Dan, how about some pictures and details of where you got the R&Js?

Oh and welcome by the way.

Hi guys, I would say they do look quite like the belicosos, will have to identify any others with tapered ends. Why do they taper the ends? Good site too by the way

If you got them from the Partagas or R&J/H.Upmann factory then they will be Kosher, no question!

No it is definitely NOT a reasonable price. The price for a box of RyJ belicoso in Cuba is under $200.00 (? ?118)… Sorry to bring bad news…

Which of the 3 sizes? Secretos, Genios or Magicos?

Who the hell asked you ?300 for a box of RyJ belicosos, IN the Partagas factory? Was it actually just outside the doors?

If it was the Partagas factory then they will be real and proper. If you got over charged in Cuba just look at the UK price and relax, it's all relative!

I might be getting the currency conversion wrong as it was over 3 months ago. It was definitely in the factory. The maduros are genios.

Thanks nicewing, you are right, if its for a cigar i enjoy then it is all relative.

If you bought the cigars in the factory shop, you should have the till reciept & the official Cuban
"Factura De Venta De Habanos" which is approx 8.5 x 4.5ins, white, red & black official reciept for exporting cigars from Cuba

mmmm this is all good advice. I remember getting some documentation but not sure what I did with it. To be honest as im sure you will agree, when you are on holiday the last thing you do is be sensible and file your receipts!
