May I ask: are you in the UK
To me, the colours look like classic "EMS" (English Market Selection) which used to be a hue much to be desired. (Indeed 'coffee with cream' was often a descriptor).
Lately, under influence from folk in the USA who have decided that dark wrappers are more desireable, to the extent that some non-Cuban producers are dyeing their wrappers black, there has been a shift to more "maduro" coloured skins.
Arguments about the influence of colour on the overall taste of a cigar blend go both ways so I'm not convinced. I do know that I have some Ramon Allones Specially Selected from 2000 (very dark), 2003 (EMS) and 2008 (AMS) and they all taste the same- except that the 2000s have become incredibly smooth and creamy.

Yep, in the uk. Most of my collection is not ems though. I got a box of the psd5's on their release (in havana) and they are way darker than these photo's. It will be interesting to compare.

Never worried about wrapper colours, not relevant to the smoke IMHO. The LCDH Uppmans are top of my list.

... use of Photoshop more like. They've been, softening, cleaning and adding in a few few false reflections for good measure ... 'cos if they aint then them cigars don't have wrappers ... they're wearing stockings!
