  • 2010 bolivars.....

    hey all,
was looking some opinions from those who've had some 2010 examples of bolivar regular line, such as belicosos finos (slb in particular), corona extra and petite corona!!! of the 3, i've the choice of 2008 and 2010 for the corona extra only (obviously 2008 would be more preferable), the rest are 2010's only.......

in my experience, young bolivars can be a bit harsh, almost unsmokable!!! however, i've had 2010 montecristo 2's and partagas d4's which have been quite excellent!!! i'm looking to get something i can get stuck into now, without waiting ages on them to settle down!!

any advice/ opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry Alex, the lastest I've had is the 2009 Petit Belicosos EL.

Maybe someone else has tried later

thanks all the same dave!!! hopefully someone can come up with the info i need!!! most of the bolivars i've had have been 2007/ 2008's!!! they've been quite spectacular & magic!!! don't want to take a chance and buy a box of 2010's and have to wait another year or two for them to become great!!! i want to get a box i can get stuck into now........ perhaps i should hold off till i go to geneva (looking to book for the start of april)!!!

        cheers,

        alex

Bolivar 2010 produce needs to be out of sight & mind for 15-18 months, IMHO. Unless you're used to smoking GuantanameraGuantanameraGuantanamera

Nearly all Cubans need 18-24 months otherwise high risk of a nasty smoke.

crackhead.gif Umm. I was about to say the same, senormonkey-3.gif monkey...'cept I would have said nothing under a year. Don't know why some vendors have been pushing such young Puros (hint-hint) lately. cop.gif

                      As me pappy,
Pappy Coro used to say: "smoke no puro before it's time."

I really miss the old koot!

Hmmm, I'm a bit surprised the muchachos reviewed sticks just entering the so called sick period!

I avoid such young stick like figgy puddin'.
