  • Seeking opinions on a real big boy!

Going to Geneva again soon and planning potential purchases.

On my list is the Monte "A" (which I've never had before); can anyone give me some feedback on their experiences with these, also was there a particularly good year?

I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up boxes of Sir Winstons and some aged Lanceros and fundadores, probably Monte especial no.1's too, but thinking about what else.......

Are you doing just a day trip? Been thinking of doing the same for a wee while... bloody easy to get an early easyjet out and one back around 5-6pm...

I could well be up for meeting up in Geneva, blokes shopping trip if you like! Prices from N.I. are cheaper than out of Luton. Best I can manage for the return flight is a princely ?41!!!

Michael - sorry for hi-jacking your thread... I've got some Monte A's and Trinni Fundi's resting in the humi for summer, not tried any just yet...

last time I was there bought Lanceros and fundis (aged); seriously up there with the greatest of cubans I think.

Still wondering about the "A"'s; always hesitated because of the frankly ludicrous size! (also smoking time). Feel they need trying though....

Great cigar if you've got at least 2 and a half hours. I bought a 5-box in coffins a few years ago (2007 box code IIRC) and they were excellent....like a PE all the way down which to me was heaven !!
