  • Cornona Gorda suggestions

Most of my collection is made up of corona ring gauges (perla, mareva, grande, lonsdale) with some robustos and lanceros thrown in. The Corona Gorda is a vitola I have always wanted to have in my collection because I simply like its format, but I have as yet to find one I would keep there permenantly. I have smoked a box of Upmann 46s which I quite liked but were just a tad too light for me to reorder. I just smoked an Hoyo Epi 1 which was also too light, and in the past I think I have smoked an RyJ Gorda.

Anyways was wondering if anyone has any Corona Gorda suggestions along with a quick description.

Supposed to be stronger than the CG but no too strong for me (depends how you feel about other Boli's I guess), useful format when you don't have time for a Churchill, try after a reasonably heavy meal & see what you make of it.

I find the Punch Punch to be an extremely good smoke, and often underrated, two very strong thumbs up to that recommendation!

My buddy has been raving about Ramon Allones Allones Superiores, still waiting for him to send me a box but his reccomendations are usually 5 star.. apparently they're exclusive to LCDH so Ajay may be able to help if he answers his emails!

All good choices, but I prefer the Punch Royal Selection No 11 to the Punch Punch ?
Also, don't forget the muchly maligned Montecristo C EL (2003)

The RyJ gorda is the Exhibicion No.3, a good cigar but not stronger than the Magnum 46… IMO, the stronger corona gorda is the Punch RS No.11, discontinued but still available.
btw, I tried the new RA Superiores last night (LCDH "exclusivity") and I've found it a damn strong corona gorda!

The RA will be great (well at least the original release) but needs another 3-5 years to start to show its best IMHO.

The Mag 46 has been smoking really well and the past few years; some really good consistant cigars. The Cohiba IV would be my second choice only because of the difference in cost.
2008 Epicure 1 is excellent if you can source some, as is the JL No1.

Never had a plugged cigar, never mind a Punch Punch being plugged...

Punch punch is an everyday smoke for me . Cohiba siglo IV is also a very good smoke!
