Min Ron Nee keeps his aging stock at this temp range, vacuum sealed.

Mine live in my cellar which is currently around the 11-12 area. It's higher in the summer but fluctuations are very slow. It's not deliberately that low just the most stable place in the house.

'twas an interesting video!!! 2 of my favourite 'small' cigars!!! however, when looking carefully, i noticed that there was serious 'burn' issues with the cigars being smoked!!! as much as davidoff has a stellar, world class reputation, i'm not sure about the 65RH storage, but then what would i know? in my limited experience, i prefer my cigars to be closer to (if not) 70RH, they seem to burn better!!! 65RH i've found is too dry for my liking and i tended to have burn issues with my cigars when i had them at that level!! then again, perhaps they were smoking them too quick for the sake of the video, you know, just to rub in the faces of us 'mere mortals' how 'real cigar aficionados/ connoisseurs/ experts' roll...... lol

anyway, just my opinion....... and again, it's all a matter of personal preference, isn't it?

            all the best,

            alex

Interesting to note that both reviewer like the stick that he smokes less often.

surely, both are good sticks. I personally think is the unfamiliar kicks that won each of them over that day.

smoke NCs then you will never have burn issue again.

I think they smoked them too fast and that's why the bad burn line, espeically noticable with the PE, the Reyes look fine to me.

and speaking from experience, burn issues are mainly from over humidified sticks. no?

lol, guess it's a question of science and physics...... and of course the ol' common sense!!!! if the cigar's too dry, then it'll burn too quickly, if it's too 'wet', it'll not burn quick enough!!!! therefor, both factors would contribute to an uneven burn!!! as i said, i prefer to keep my cigars stored as close to 70RH as possible (seems to sit mainly at around 68/69RH, temperature seems to be happily at a constant 64?)!!! i rarely have any burn issues, and i'd say i'm a pretty quick smoker by cigar standards.....

anyway, shows a difference in lifestyles!!! edward sahakian smokes the smaller trini reyes on his 'work break' (lol), due to time restraints, whereas james suckling, seemingly a bit of a 'man of leisure', smokes the larger gauged monte PE, which i've always looked at as a sort of robusto (yes, i know the difference)!!! the trini would be a 40min smoke to me, whereas the monte PE would be closer to an hour, which doesn't make it a 'small' smoke to me, lol!!!

saying that, here's my favourite small cigars (sub 5" length, minimum 40RG, approx 40 smoking time)!!! these are what i go for (and why) when i fancy having a smoke, but maybe don't have the time to give to a bigger cigar!! these are in order of preference:

                              1. Bolivar corona junior: happen's to be my favourite brand, everyone of these i've had had been fantastic!
                              2. Partagas shorts: just like mini D4's to me!! especially great when you want the power and flavour of a partagas but don't have time for a D4 or P2!!
                              3. Trinidad reyes: a fantastic, tastey small smoke that always delivers the goods!! classy!!
                              4. Cohiba maduro secretos: simply put, yummy, yummy!!! just too expensive to justify it being an 'everyday' smoke!!!
                              5. montecristo no.5: wouldn't be a big fan of montecristo, but the no.5 makes a welcome break every once in a while, and has never let me down!!!

                              all the best,

                              alex
