Morning all you fine folk, MLW has ordered me a couple of Cubans for my recent birthday (although yet to arrive) I assume they will need resting?

    They are

    Romeo Y Julieta No3 Tubed
    Partagas Petit Coronas Espciales

She said both were classed as 'best sellers' on the website, and having looked them up, they both get decent scores by CA (although I'm not sure I wholeheartedly trust their rankings)

Thoughts/advice welcome if anyone has tried them (this is a rhetorical question really as I doubt there's much out there that hasn't been sampled collectively)

    TIA

I've been through some RyJ no.3 and imo they are nicer after 3-4 years rest, this is from couple of 10 boxes from 2021. They always have a nice sour/sweet element for me. They may be a little rough when fresh. BUT as you say. Subjective!

I've never tried the Partagas PCE!

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I intend to let them rest as I won't have any others to compare to. Just need to educate the wife a little when I don't light them up right away 😂

I'm keen to expand my Cuban collection and have a friend visiting Spain in a month or two so have asked him to keep a look out

Cubans always better IMO with a decent amount of rest - min 12 months I would say. I've posted a few cubans on the for sale section if any are of interest. All have age so ready for smoking now...
