Quick round up of an amazing birthday weekend.
Last Friday was my birthday & as traditional, I went fishing. Two yrs ago, I caught my UK PB at 21lb 08 on my 63rd B/D. This time, I was just hoping to catch something, even Sea Trout or Chub would have done.
Fishing the Royalty, it was a struggle & after 3hrs of casting into a raging flood river. I was about to call it quits when I caught a 3lb Jack Pike.
That afternoon, my wife took me away for the weekend. Instead of a fancy hotel, she booked an Air B&B in Fareham. A little confused but after I was told to dress & enter the living room, where I found my Sister, BIL, our daughter & BF. A real surprise party, & a murder mystery evening. Hence, BF not in black tie, as he was a 'boxer.' And as it turned out also the murderer!
No where for me to smoke, as the storm blew all weekend. But back home Sunday evening, I took my last Behike 52, from 2013 for a walk to the warm comfort of my Cigar Lounge.
I bought x5 in 2016 for £30 each. A fair price at the time. Today, Cgars are quoting £335!
The Behike was stronger than I recall tge others were, surprising, as it had more age & the Cohiba flat's more muted. If this proves typical & you have 10yo Behike 52's left, I'd suggest smoking them up.
