Whilst I love the Ramon Allones brand, I can't help but think this new size is a bit of a waste of time given that it's only slightly larger than the RASS. It would have been far better to bring back the 898/Lonsdale size or another different size , in my opinion.

There seems to be little joined up thinking in the Cuban industry.

Maybe they ordered too many Edmundo moulds.

But as a regular production the market wants bigger cigars. Wonder how the blend differs. I've read reports that they are just bigger RASS. But the proof is in the tasting I guess.

Might see some special releases as the 898 or Lonsdale. But then they'll only price me out anyway

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Not for me, never a massive fan of RASS, the blends seem to favour the smaller ring gauges. The RASCC is much better than its larger brother for me.

Be interesting to see how they compare to RASS.

They've got some at GQ, was thinking about adding one to try as I need a new lighter, but then saw the size and didn't really see the point.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be keen to try them as I love the RASS. I guess we should sample them before judging.

They were $93 for a box of 10 in Havana in February. Bizarrely priced when the RASS were $16 each on the same shelf.

The RASCC is an amazing smoke with a few yrs on them. They are often thought of as mini RAG's rather than close to the RASS. I have several aged boxes & they can be fitted in with a coffee at any time of day - even for breakfast!
