I was looking last night, trip advisor has a link to a site called Cuban cigar lounge which they say is the right place to buy cigars. Their website includes prices but it seems way to cheap. An example is this:
Sometimes, this would go for $220 per cigar...

By the way if a company offers shipping from Cuba and it is recommended by trip advisor where do I stand? If I get stuff shipped am I breaking the law or is it fine if the box has a declaration on it? And is it still cheap once postage and import tax is added?
If you pay the duties etc its completely fine, but if not you're breaking the law. Its the vendor's responsibility to pay all the duties, but you should make sure it happens otherwise you'll have to foot the bill at customs if it is stopped there
By the time all the duties have been paid it would probably cost the same price as you'd pay over here anyway (the duty on tobacco is incredibly high, and is the main reason prices are so high over here)
Thanks for the info guys, it's tempting for the aged boxes, I might try for a relatively low cost box and see what happens. IMO its worth risking ?100 to find out if its bs. Even if duty doubled the cost it would be a spanking good deal.
Although it wouldn't be ?100 of course doh! The man takes his bit regardless of the quality if the sticks so I'd be paying the lot just to find out I guess. Maybe not a good plan after all.
