Trinidad have increased more than Cohiba proportionally i think. So now people will look.
"No cigar in the entire Habanos portfolio will increase more percentage-wise than the Trinidad Reyes, a 4 3/8 x 40 petit corona that will go from €9.60 per cigar to €32, a 233.3 percent increase." - ref. https://halfwheel.com/new-german-pri...prices/408945/
"In other words, the top of the Habanos portfolio would be getting more expensive— namely the well-known Cohiba brand—as well as the Trinidad marca, which Habanos has called “the boutique Habanos brand par excellence.”"
It is bizarre though don’t you think? Make something premium just by deciding it is not based on any specific quality it has. I love Trinidad but part of that was cause they fly under the radar
400E was a fair price Steve. Best not to dwell on past sales...
I once sold a box of Monte Sublimes on here for £250 IIRC lol

Indeed, we have all sold things in the past we later regretted but past prices aren't relevant today. Just good advice going fwd, resist selling if you can manage financially keeping them. One day you'll be glad you kept them.

That's true Simon but for me there comes a point where a cigar reaches a resale value that makes it hard to light up ..
Imagine lighting up a Cohiba Sublime you'd held on to... They're going for $400+ per stick now. You can go to Spain and get a box of Monte 1 for that.

A crazy situation indeed.

Flew through Lisbon earlier, just domestic so no access though I probably could pop back. Very limited stock, RyJ no2 card boxes, Vegafina card sleeves, they did have boxes of Epi 2s (now e368) and Monte 4s (e232.50) plus the usual Open Montes that even in this climate don’t shift but nothing else
Lisbon LCdH had some stock but all a bit dull, RG and other smaller smokes. Smaller Montes (4s and under) some RYJ of the Churchill series. Mille Fleurs from both brand super Partagas and loads of Culebras unusually. Apparently a group of Germans cleared them out that day but they are getting deliveries in from Cuba most weeks. Price rise coming 1st of July for Portugal, airport now clear other than one box of Epi 2s
