This is probably the best thread in which to post this. I think it was Stevieboy who once commented that there are three good tabacs in Torremolinos. This morning I walked a mile in 28° heat to one of them, a good sized tabac with a walk in humidor the same size as JJ Fox. It was completely empty, he hasn’t had any stock for six months. He has clients wanting orders worth €40-50000 and can’t get anything at all. He explained that Spain has sold his 50% share in Cubatabaco to the Chinese. He said you might be lucky to find some shops in the bigger cities selling from open boxes but he only sold whole boxes. Bang goes my plan to buy three or four boxes.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

Here is an update for Malaga airport. The Duty Free had the most boxes of cigars I saw in Spain. They had RyJ nos 1-3 and tins of Club Kings, Hoyo short robustos, Epi #2 and de Deputes, Partagas Shorts and tins of Capitols and a wide choice of boxes of Vega Fina which I recommended recently.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

Madrid is bare. After a long walk this morning with my son, I only found about 30 cigars of any note. So far I've only found 9x Diplomaticos singles out of 50.000 boxes! I've looked in about 25-30 shops. Tragic
The shops are saying they've had zero stock for about 2 months. One of the guys in one of the big shops said he wasn't too down about it as he's selling huge amount of NCs instead
