well, not exactly a holiday. We have a static caravan in the Vendee region of France and because of Covid we haven't been there since July 2020. We took a trip over for a week to "open up" and get some repairs / maintenance done. This meant a lot of work but I did take a few smokes to enjoy of an evening.
Started off with a Bolivar petit Coronas. This was a favourite of mine when I was smoking cigars regularly, and it was lovely. Lasted a good 40 minutes and the burn was pretty good. I always find these quite peppery without too much smoke.

My main job when I was out there was to sand and oil the decking and veranda ready to fit the canopy. This is a big job (big veranda!) and took most of the first 4 days. Towards the end I decided to celabrate with something a little larger than the PC and had brought a Cohiba Robusto with me. This is a stick from a cab I bought back in 2013 (box dated April 2010)

I must admit that I tend to go for a Robusto vitola over just about everything else. The Cohiba Robusto has always struck me as quite a mild cigar, and this one was lovely. Lots of smoke and an even draw. A few slight burn issues at the start (probably more to do with me being a bit over zelous with the lighting of it than the wrap) but it soon sorted itself out.
On the final night, once everything was done, I remembered I'd brought my last Cohiba Esplendidos from the humidor. I used to smoke these occasionally and at one time I bought a box of 25, but this is the last of them (looking at prices now it may well turn out to be my last ever - I really can't see I can justify spending £90 on one!). A slightly smaller gauge than the Robusto, but similar taste, and a great 75 minute smoke to finish the holiday.

Back in the UK now, so I probably won't have another cigar for a few weeks, but we're back over in France next month (this time for an actual holiday i.e. a rest). I'm already contemplating what to take over with me
