  • Am I missing a great Winter short smoke?

RyJ Tres Petit. 116 x 40 gauge. I've got some Petit Princess and they're great. I've never tried the slightly smaller Tres though. www.cigars-review.org rates them 8.70, that's just a whisker below the Siglo IV and PSP2 on 8.71.

Can't remember these being discussed on here, but they seem ideal for short Winter smokes to me. Anyone smoked one?

    hey arf,
i've tried these before...... they're cracking we smokes!!!! i remember paying around ?6 for these here in belfast!!!! never tried the petite princess though!!! here's a list of some more 'francisciano' sized cigars:

also, another great wee cigar roughly the same size is the cuaba traditionales (116 X 41rg)!!! i've never been let down by it yet, great wee 30min+ smoke, perfect for those winter strolls or walking the dog!!!!

as arf said, ideal, quality winter smokes for those of us who have to brave the cold!!!!

I would agree with you on the Traditionales Alex. I have a few of those and I've a box of the slightly smaller Divinos.

I wish you hadn't sent me that link though .... I think I've just bought the last three Partagas Tres Petit 'singles' available in the UK. H&F aged though.

Best I'm finding on the RyJ is ?7.45 so your Belfast prices are ahead on those.

i'm glad this is being discussed as i am in the same predicament.Recently went out with friends who are all cigarette smokers and after there five minutes they all disappeared back into the warm, leaving me to an hour of solitary.I've just put an order in for some partagas and montecristo minis in an attempt to solve the problem for the winter.I'll take a look at the ones you have mentioned too

Yes, solitary is right Neilini, and gets a bloody sight worse in the winter. I'm trying to work my cigar smokes out on a time verses comfort basis as I hate being cold and dislike being cold and wet even more. So I'm kinda sorting myself along these lines, and depending on what the weathers like choose from:-

          App. 10mins ? Mini
App. 20mins ? Club or Purito (Party Chico's are very good)
          App. 30mins ? Demi-tass, Carolinas or Laguito No.3
App. 40+mins ? Tres Petit, Perla, Reyes, Cadet or Londres
App. 60mins ? Petit Robusto, Mareva or Panatellas (PL's are good)

Anything beyond 60mins can wait till Spring.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

The Petit Princess is smaller : 40x102.
Among several errors, the www.cigars-review.org website gives a wrong ring gauge for the perla vitola: 15.87mm = 40 ring, not 42.

Then the perla is smaller than the franciscano.

Just checked and I make you correct SmallClub.

Tres Petit is 40 gauge as you say. Then 116mm for the TP RyJ's, 114mm TP Punch and 117mm for the TP Partagas. Oh well, a slightly longer smoke than I thought maybe.
