I am tempted to tell you, they do improve with age but I am guessing they won't get much chance!
I'm going to try and keep a box in the scubi and leave them untouched. I think that will be my approach from now on. When my pal is travelling I'll get one box to keep and one box to smoke. PS the scubi is almost full now and her who must be obeyed will go beserk if I start adding more to the collection.
A minor dilemma. I can hide cigars in guitar cases right?

I used to find the Clear with my fishing gear useful, presently most in in the loft. She know they are there but out of sight is out of mind. Buy 2 smoke 1 age one, is the perfect solution, works with singles too. You'll be surprised how quickly a collection can grow & the price & scarcity of Havana's at present, it's a real investment.

Solid advice. It’s just a shame the one time a year I go in the loft I seem to be plagued by flies getting in somewhere. Not sure I’d risk a collection of pricy cigars up there.

You should be protected by a air tight scubador no?
Ooh she'd never guess if you stored boxes in the loft in this!!
What about temperature? It’s an old house and is extremely cold up there.
Cold is fine. Folk freeze cigars for a few days depending on source. Some folk freeze their whole collection box by box like this! Habanos freeze all exported cigars! The heat and cold variance will change the relative humidity in an enclosed system. Hence the need for plenty bovedas to help maintain & stabilise. I'd go with 65%, others might prefer 62%. But either would be fine.
No idea what the effect of the temperature range you'll get in your loft would have on long term storage. I keep mine in a room so I probably get a range from 16C to 30C (when we're gloriously lucky!!!) with the average around 17-20C I would say. Works a charm.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...
