  • What's A "Behike?"

Haven't heard much about the Behike lately (most are probably resting comfortably nestled in a nice, cozy humi somewhere), but here's what Senor Inspector had to say about 'em ... CLICK ME!

I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of cash on a single cigar. I refuse to believe that (at UK prices) it is three times as good as a Boli RC. Interesting review though. Pleased to see he labels it as (paraphrasing somewhat) costing this much because of the prestige rather than it being worth it.

Which leads us to an important question: where do you draw the line? What's the most you'd be prepared to spend on a single or a box (at UK prices)?

For me, I'd probably spend ?25 on a single stick for a REALLY special occasion, like the birth of my first child or somesuch. I've got my eye on a Cohiba Esplendidos for such an occasion, but haven't had the guts to spend that kinda money yet though.

Other than that I'd probably draw the line at ?15. Anything over that and I'd add it to my Christmas list.

I think this might be better as a new thread Bambini.

But unless I was buying as a gift, my one-off single line would be drawn under H Upmann Sir Winston at around 20 quid per. (And only maybe once per year).
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I think we covered this in a previous thread. But in answer to your question ?45 would be my personal limit per cigar.

From James Suckling on Twitter this PM:

Behike 52: amazed by balance and richness with milk chocolate and cappuccino with freshness and floral character. A dream, like today. 94

It looks nice, sadly it is way out my justifiable expense at the moment... Perhaps one day...

I could only afford the one I have because it was free with a box purchase from a retailer's promotion. I can't bring myself to smoke it though. With CA's recent prediction of it having "tremendous aging potential," I figure it will only get better? I hope...

Unfortunately in the last ten years have seen an industrial quantity of cigars that had more or less the same characteristics although different brands. But there is a brand that has made all the difference, or always tried to be unique. Cohiba!
Of course, in this brand sometimes there were falls of style not least the Maduro 5 line, or some limited edition ... Cigars are not worthy of belonging to all its brand cohiba.ma normally vitolarios has always been high quality. And that quality and perhaps even more are in their new line Behike. That sweetness, hints of honey and soft wood, the creaminess who dedicated Olympus Cohiba cigars in behike are present and make in my humble opinion the best Cuban cigars manufactured today.
At this point you have to understand why Cubans are so committed to finding a well-defined identity for the Cohiba brand and instead let the rest of the other brands are a little all the same!? ........ Unfortunately i haven't more time so the next!!

                            Best

                            Angelo

Quite right too, old chap! Couldn't agree more.
(Though I fear this might prove somewhat contentious with many of the 'Brothers' in here)

What have you got against the Maduro line?
